A reddish springtail belonging to the class of Collembola. This species was only discovered and described in 1981. In contrast to the common white springtail, this species does not have a jump fork. They can reach a size of 3-4 mm. The breeding does not differ in comparison to the white springtails. Young animals are initially white and only change color to a strong orange shortly before they reach adult size. The ideal breeding temperature is between 20-26 ° C. In the breeding tank, they like to stay on damp leaves. We feed the animals regularly with our proven Collembola food.
